My practice is not so concerned with art, as it is with life. The human condition has been my greatest preoccupation, and to experience many facets, contours and corners of what it means to be alive has been part of this journey. My work therefore, centres largely around the human form and its experience of being.

My aim is not to create a technical representation, but to allow the audience to connect with the essence of what I am seeing.

In 2011, I helped establish a community project of regeneration through the arts in a rural market town in the UK, which included an art gallery, cafe and artisan studios.
